The directive we issued in November was suspended while negotiations were in progress as a sign of goodwill. We have been waiting for a reply from government for over a week and we are therefore reinstating the directive and have advised government that we reserve the right to call for new directives.

 

As a reminder, academic staff should not organise or attend any administrative or management meetings, in person or online, with immediate effect, and until further notice. Examples of such meetings include, but are not limited to, departmental, faculty, institute, centre or school meetings, and any other staff or board meetings. 

 

Excluded from this directive are research ethics, recruitment, promotion, and retirement extension boards and meetings with students.
