Dear members,

 

UMASA has always held the position that any policy or directive that will affect its members should first be discussed with, and approved by UMASA. This was communicated to the University Management several times and there was no objection to the practice. However, some policies or similar documents are still published which have not been discussed with UMASA. In these cases we are going to start issuing directives on a case-by-case basis.

 

One such document was recently published by RSSD titled “Declaration by Academic applying for a Funded Project (the “Project Proposal”)”.

 

UMASA is hereby directing its members NOT to sign this document since there was no consultation with UMASA on this document prior to being published.
